Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Odwadifo ("we", "us") for using the Odwadifo app, the Odwadifo Business app and odwadifo.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy policy.

1. What Odwadifo is

Odwadifo is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers in Ghana. Sellers list their own goods and services, and buyers deal with sellers directly. We are not the seller, we don't own or inspect the items, and we are not a party to any sale, unless we clearly say otherwise. Payment, delivery and returns are agreed between buyer and seller.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or older and give true information.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person or business may not run accounts to mislead others, such as fake reviews or fake buyers.

3. Rules for sellers

• Only list items you own or are allowed to sell. Describe them honestly, with real photos and the real price.
• Follow the laws of Ghana, including consumer-protection, tax and licensing rules for your goods.
• Answer buyers honestly and deliver what you agreed.
• Ads from new sellers, and ads that look suspicious, may be checked before they appear.

4. Things you must not post or sell

• Illegal items: drugs, weapons, ammunition, stolen goods, counterfeit or pirated products, or items needing a licence you don't have.
• Wildlife products, human body parts, prescription medicines without authorisation, or dangerous chemicals.
• Adult sexual content or services, and anything involving children in a harmful way.
• Scams, pyramid schemes, "send money first" tricks, fake jobs or loans.
• Hate, threats, harassment, or other people's private information.
• Content you don't have the right to share.

5. Reviews, videos and other content

• Reviews must be about a real experience. Paid or fake reviews are not allowed.
• You keep ownership of what you post. You give Odwadifo a free, worldwide licence to host, show, share, promote and adapt it (for example, resizing, or adding the Odwadifo logo and ending to downloaded videos) to run and promote the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except where it has already been shared by others or must be kept by law.
• Other users may save and share public videos. Saved videos carry the Odwadifo logo and your username.

6. Plans, TOP placements and payments

• Posting starts free. Paid plans, TOP placements and extras are shown with their prices in the app and at odwadifo.com/pricing.
• Payment is by Mobile Money. A plan starts once we confirm your payment.
• Plan periods are 28 days unless stated otherwise. When a plan ends, your account returns to the free plan. Ads above the free limit are paused, not deleted.
• Payments are not refundable once a plan or placement has started, except where the law requires a refund or we fail to provide what you paid for.
• We may change prices for future periods. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
• If we remove your account for breaking these terms, unused paid time is not refunded.

7. Calls, chats and live streams

Calls and live streams use your plan's minutes as described in the app. Don't record or share other people's calls or chats without their permission. Use chats to discuss deals, not to spam.

8. Safety tips

• Meet in public places and inspect items before paying.
• Never send money in advance to someone you don't know.
• Report suspicious listings and users in the app.

9. Our rights

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. You can reply to us if you think we made a mistake.

10. Responsibility

• The Service is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running, but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
• We are not responsible for the items, the behaviour of users, or deals made between them.
• To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
• Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Ghanaian consumer law.

11. Closing your account

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account at odwadifo.com/delete-account.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If we can't settle it, it will be handled by the courts of Ghana.
